Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall, scoring best three out of four races.

1/18/20 - Chama Chile Ski Classic - Chama, NM - 18K Freestyle
2/8/20 - Butch Cassidy Ski Chase - Telluride, CO - 15km Freestyle
2/22/20 - Pine Needle Langlauf - Durango, CO - 30km Freestyle

Northern New Mexico's premiere winter event, the Chama Chile Ski Classic and Winter Fiesta features freestyle and classic cross-country ski races, a snowshoe race, and a rookie race, for all ages and abilities.
The racecourse includes part of the historic Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR tracks and is located in the south San Juan Mountains, north of Chama, NM and southwest of Antonito, CO. The course includes rolling hills, aspen groves, open meadows and spruce/fir forests.
It's not all about the races, though! The weekend includes tours, a costume contest, ice sculptures and fun for the kids, live music, awards ceremonies and prizes, and ski clinics.
Mark your calendars for the 47th Chama Chile Ski Classic and Winter Fiesta, which will be Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, January 18-19, 2020.

Qualifying Events for USSSA National Championships
Our 6K Snowshoe Race has grown over the last few years and it was time to add a 12K Snowshoe race to give our snowshoers an extra challenge. The 6 K race has been moved to Saturday, and the 12 K Snowshoe race will be on Sunday. Combined ski/snowshoe racers will still have a 6K snowshoe as part of their race on Sunday.
And to really test your stamina, the 6K and 12K Snowshoe races will both be Qualifying events for the US Snowshoe Associations National Championships in Leadville, CO, February 28 and March 1, 2020. At 10,152 feet elevation, Leadville is North Americas highest city. At 9,800 feet of elevation, the Ski Classic race course will be a great training ground for snowshoers who want to qualify for the US National Snowshoe Championship races.
The 6 K Snowshoe race will be a Junior qualifier for people who are under the age of 20 years by 12/31/20. The 12K snowshoe race is a qualifier for Seniors (20 + years of age by 12/31/20) and Masters (40+ years of age) level racers.
